Felix Zandman holds a Doctorate in Physics from the Sorbonne, Paris, France and a degree in mechanical engineering. It is a good book for reference

I buy this book because in a for-mass-production project, a lot of high R-value resistor under high voltage but low current is used, but such resistors (like from Dr. Zandman's company) are quite expensive. I want to find out a way to reduce cost, and eventually knows about resistance and resistors a lot more after read this book.Highly recommended for those serious electronic engineers and designers as THE only reference about resistors, since the other two books on the topics: one is just too fundamental, and the other book from'60s is just out-of-print long time ago.While several topics is not covered in this book: like the discussion on potentiometers is not enough (e.g. anodic oxidation in AC + DC case), and the chapter "Nonlinear Resistors" deserves to be expanded into another new book. Resistors in IC layout (MOS, poly) is not discussed at all (but mentioned in the preface).
